  • Overview

    The Staff Accountant is responsible for the day to day accounting process. This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of financial / accounting processes and reporting in accordance with the Company’s accounting policies and US GAAP.
    • Perform the monthly cycle accounting including: timely review and submission of expenditure for payment by accounts payable, working, monthly journal entries, prepaids, accruals, maintenance of fixed asset ledgers.
    • Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
    • Submit monthly reporting packages, including detailed supporting workpapers in accordance with Company policies to the Corporate Controller for review.

    Assist with the coordination of the flow of information to external auditors for the annual audit.

    • Experience with Nexonia Time and Expense software, a positive
    • Advanced excel skills – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, concatenate, pivot tables, etc.
    • Experience in health care a positive, but not required

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field required
    • CPA or equivalent certification is desired
    • 3+ years practical work experience
    • Strong working experience and knowledge of internal controls
    • Solid knowledge of US GAAP
    • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
