  • Overview

    To maintain the day to day operations of the facility for the scheduled shift. Observing and reporting of clients working cohesively with the Housing Manager, Lead Housing Technician(s) and Director of Housing.

     

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

     

    • Ensure that the day to day operations of the Housing Department are adhered to
    • Complete daily assignments as directed  

     

      • Communicate all client concerns and document as required
      • Maintain customer satisfaction through positive interactions with residents
      • Ensure resident’s immediate needs are met
      • Redirect residents in a respectful manner when necessary
      • Report all adverse resident behaviors and concerns

     

    • Work cohesively with all shifts for the common purpose of care and safety
    • Maintain the physical residence per Delphi Company standards
    • Maintain the physical residence per company operational systems, including cleaning of the inside and outside residence
    • Communicate any unsafe or in need of repair conditions of the physical residence to the Housing Manager and document in shift reports
    • Provide transportation as instructed by the Lead Housing Technician; inclusive of following the Transportation Policy
    • Supervise all resident activities
    • Make rounds and document as required
    • Observe and conduct Urine Drug Screens
    • Follow all state, federal, DCF standards and FARR (NARR) standards

     

    • Communicate all resident emergent situations in a calm and organized manner to appropriate parties
    • Assist in training Housing staff
    • Support/facilitate resident groups under the direction of the Housing Manager
    • Assist residents in job search and life skills protocols
    • Attend all trainings and meetings as scheduled

     

    Performance Objectives

    • Communicate all department needs to the Housing Manager
    • Ensure 100% compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Ensure personal state required trainings are current
    • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and ethical behavior at all times with residents, families and other professionals   

    Qualifications

    Essential Skills:

    • Ability to communicate clearly to supervisors, co-workers and clients
    • Basic computer knowledge  
    • Ability to follow through with direct supervisor and other department staff  
    • Goal/target-oriented
    • Self-motivated
    • Ability to work independently or with a team
    • Highly organized
    • Ability to follow direction as instructed and follow through on tasks assigned
    • Possess a positive attitude  
    • Remain awake and alert during all working hours
    • CPR Certified

    Desirable Skills:

    • Experience in the substance abuse/mental health care field
    • Knowledge of the 12 Steps
