  • Overview

    The Staff Accountant is responsible for the day to day accounting process. This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of financial / accounting processes and reporting in accordance with the Company’s accounting policies and US GAAP.
    • Perform the monthly cycle accounting including: timely review and submission of expenditure for payment by accounts payable, working, monthly journal entries, prepaids, accruals, maintenance of fixed asset ledgers.
    • Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
    • Submit monthly reporting packages, including detailed supporting workpapers in accordance with Company policies to the Corporate Controller for review.
    • Assist with the coordination of the flow of information to external auditors for the annual audit.

    ●        Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise and/or the Cloud

    ●        Experience with NetSuite Accounting software, a positive

    ●        Experience with Nexonia Time and Expense software, a positive

    ●        Advanced excel skills – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, concatenate, pivot tables, etc.

    ●        Experience in health care a positive, but not required

    Education and Experience

    ●        Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field required

    ●        CPA or equivalent certification is desired

    ●        3+ years practical work experience

    ●        Strong working experience and knowledge of internal controls

    ●        Solid knowledge of US GAAP

    ●        Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
