  • Overview


    Responsible for making outbound phone calls on the behalf of patients seeking treatment to their insurance carriers to see if their benefits qualify for treatment. The Benefits Verifier is responsible for verifying coverage requirements, exclusions and limitations of all prospective incoming patients. Verifiers must then upload all documented insurance information into the online portal for review by managers and directors.


    • Prioritize work and manage time effectively to meet set requirements made by directors and managers.
    • Make outbound calls to Insurance carriers and document all info in Sales Force
    • Update and change demographic and insurance information if necessary
    • Maintain a professional and caring dialogue with all Insurance Carriers
    • Report errors to manager for correction and required steps for correction.
    • Document outcome of all outbound or inbound calls in DARP format.
    • Work with the Utilization Review department to accurately and timely upload any concurrent review documents they have been assigned.
    • Manage projects related to needs within the department
    • Other tasks assigned by director.
