The Senior Accountant is responsible for the day to day accounting process. This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of financial / accounting processes and reporting in accordance with the Company’s accounting policies and US GAAP.
Perform and assist the accounting staff in the monthly cycle accounting including: timely review and submission of expenditure for payment by accounts payable, working with third party billing company to address any billing discrepancies, monthly journal entries, prepaids, accruals, maintenance of fixed asset ledgers and reconciliations as appropriate.
Prepare monthly reporting packages and review and analyze variances.
Submit monthly reporting packages, including detailed supporting workpapers in accordance with Company policies to the Corporate Controller for review.
Ability to prepare detailed forecasts and budgets and analyze variances.
Assist with the coordination of the flow of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
Assist with special project and ad hoc reports.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field required
CPA or equivalent certification is desired
5+ years practical work experience
Strong working experience and knowledge of internal controls
Solid knowledge of US GAAP
Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
Excellent interpersonal skills

Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise and/or the Cloud
Experience with NetSuite Accounting software, a positive
Advanced excel skills – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, concatenate, build dashboards among other excel skills
Experience in health care a positive, but not required
