    General Purpose of the Position:

    The Program Director is responsible for the management and coordination of program functions within a substance abuse facility that provides multiple levels of care. Will supervise the Admissions Team and on-site Behavioral Health Techs.  The Program Director leads the administration and coordination of program functions that includes overall programming, schedule management and participates with curriculum development. Additionally, the Program Director ensures programming is consistent with policies and procedures and regulatory requirements, as well as to evaluate the program for quality and performance improvement. The Program Director will provide a variety of client care services, as assigned by the Executive Director.


    Essential Duties:

    • Plans the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization
    • Assists with development (As deemed appropriate) and implements the program curriculum
    • Programming schedule development and management
    • Organizes and manages program staffing coverage, this may include staff managed by others
    • Manages on-site Behavioral Health Tech staff members and the Admissions Team
    • Assists with ACA (Against Clinical Advice) blocking and client management
    • Develops new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization
    • Develops and implements long term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program
    • Develops a program evaluation framework to assess the strength of the program and to identify areas of improvement
    • Ensures that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization
    • Ensures that program activities comply with relevant legislation and professional standards
    • Oversees the collection and maintenance of statistical information, such as Incident Reports, Discharge Survey’s and Staff Survey’s and etc.
    • Creates and analyzes statistical data for continual performance improvement
    • Liaises with other managerial staff to ensure the effective and efficient program delivery
    • Coordinates the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency
    • Identifies and evaluates the risks associated with program activities and takes appropriate action to control such risks
    • Leads groups and completes assessments in support of programming needs, as necessary
    • Supports the Clinical Director with clinical matters and consultation
    • Attends daily staff meeting and other meetings as pertinent to job function and duties

    Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

    • Word, Excel, Google Docs/Chrome and EMR experience


    Educational Background and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, MBA or Master’s Degree in a health-related field with a minimum of two years experience in the field of substance abuse
