This position requires travel between 3 facilities in Southern California within a 2 hour radius.  Candidate will be working remotely with extensive travel.


The Alumni Services Department is tasked with the responsibility of maintaining consistent contact with Alumni from Aloft Recovery, California Highlands and California Highlands Vistas.  “Contact” consists of, but is not limited to, phone calls, text messages, emails, newsletters, social media, alumni meetings and alumni events.  This position was created to assist the National Alumni Coordinator in maintaining the safety of the aforementioned facility’s alumni communities by keeping open line of communication and support to all those that have discharged from this facility.


  • Conducting standard Alumni phone calls (day after discharge/bi-weekly thereafter)
  • On-going, consistent tracking of all calls made/received
  • Providing additional support to Alumni wherever possible (vocational services/crisis stabilization services/educational services/admissions)
  • Attend and facilitate introduction/informative sessions on what Alumni Services offers to current Aloft Recovery, CHAT and Vistas clients. Help familiarize clients with who the Alumni staff are how they can be used as a resource
  • Work with each facility’s clinical team to ensure discharging clients fill out necessary Alumni Services consent forms
  • Attend and facilitate Alumni meetings
  • Arrange for Alumni speakers and refreshments for each meeting
  • Assist in Alumni event planning
  • Monitor social media/virtual events
  • Attend Alumni Services staff meetings as necessary
  • Coordinate external volunteer opportunities with select partnered nonprofit organizations
  • Network and establish relationships with local businesses to aid in employment opportunities for local alumni
  • Ensure that alumni community is made aware of recovery related events in their areas
  • Work with each facility’s clinical team and the Delphi National Alumni Director to ensure the appropriate compilation of research assessments


Physical Responsibilities

  • Travel between facilities
  • Respond to help requests either in person or over the phone
  • Respond to email messages for staff members and clients/Alumni
  • Carrying refreshments and/or meeting materials
  • Setting up for recreational activities
  • Shopping for supplies/ meeting materials (coins, etc)


  • General knowledge of Recovery
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent; Preferably in the mental health/behavioral health field
  • Knowledge of mental/behavioral health
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office) Word, Excel necessary / PowerPoint, a plus
  • Empathetic communicator with ability to set firm boundaries
  • Good communication skills
  • Comfortable taking phone calls, emails, texts, social media messages
  • Comfortable working non-typical hours
  • Ability to work on call, as needed
  • Ability to Multi-Task
  • Ability to work both independently and as a strong member of a team
  • Ability to diligently track communication with Alumni through various forms of technology (excel, email, newsletter, Benchmark platform)
