The psychiatrist is a licensed physician who holds Board Certification in Psychiatry who will provide a full range of psychiatric services to clients of Ocean Breeze Recovery.
The psychiatrist will work in a setting that provides care to individuals with addiction who may or may not have a mental health disorder.
Duties include assessment, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of all clients admitted for treatment.
The psychiatrist will prescribe medication as necessary and follow up on clients on medication.
The psychiatrist sill order medical tests and laboratory tests as necessary and analyze and review laboratory tests and medical records to diagnose and treat both medical and mental health disorders.
Refer for consultation with specialist when warranted.
Gather and review information from history and medical records to guide treatment.
The psychiatrist will consult with other professionals
The psychiatrist will be responsible for accurate and timely documentation of records.
Ordering and prescribing medication using E-Scribing System will be the responsibility of the psychiatrist.
The psychiatrist will work as part of a team and possess the ability to use best practice for client care.
Strong analytical skills are necessary and the ability to implement quality processes to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Medicine or doctor of Osteopathy degree required.
Experience: Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment setting is preferred.
License and/or Certifications: Unrestricted license from the Florida board of Medicine or Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine.
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Psychiatry. Current BLS Certification required.
Registrations: Drug Enforcement Agency Controlled Substance Registration including schedules: 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, 5 and DEA Registration with Physician Waiver to prescribe Buprenorphine
