Overview

To maintain the cleanliness of the facility on a day to day basis, including common and client areas.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the day to day department objectives are adhered to
  • Complete Housekeeping daily assignments as directed  
  • Communicate all client concerns and document as required
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through positive interactions with clients
  • Ensure client’s immediate needs are met
  • Redirect clients in a respectful manner when necessary
  • Report all adverse client behaviors and concerns
  • Work cohesively with all departments for the common purpose of client care and client safety
  • Maintain the physical residence per Joint Commission and DCF standards
  • Maintain the physical residence per company operational systems, including cleaning of the inside and outside residence and clinical buildings  
  • Communicate any unsafe or in need of repair conditions of the physical facility to the Facilities Manager
  • Report any contraband found to the Housing Manager or Facilities Manager
  • Follow all state, federal, Joint Commission and DCF standards
  • Communicate all client emergent situations in a calm and organized manner to appropriate parties

 

Performance Objectives

  • Communicate all department needs to the Facilities Manager
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Life Safety and Environment of Care standards
  • Attend all meetings and trainings as scheduled
  • Ensure personal state required trainings are current
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and ethical behavior at all times with clients, families and other professionals   

 

 

Qualifications

 

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to communicate clearly to supervisors, co-workers and clients
  • Basic computer knowledge  
  • Ability to follow through with direct supervisor and other department staff  
  • Goal/target-oriented
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to follow direction as instructed and follow through on tasks assigned
  • Possess a positive attitude  
  • Remain awake and alert during all working hours

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in Joint Commission, DCF regulations and OSHA standards
  • Experience in the substance abuse/mental health care field
