Working in collaboration with the marketing team, the Digital Content Writer will be responsible for the creation of web content according to the current SEO standards. This position will require the candidate to consistently write original content on a variety of topics for several different websites. The content will include web copy, blogs, newsletters, etc. The ideal candidate will be able to write quickly without sacrificing quality.

  • Deliver engaging content on a regular basis
  • Edit, proofread and improve content according to fluctuating SEO standards
  • Optimize content for search engines using keywords, meta data, links, etc.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. No strenuous physical work is required. The ability to use a computer for the entirety of the work day is mandatory.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the option to work from 7:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. on Fridays only.


Local travel to various worksites in South Florida may be occasionally required. Employee may be invited to travel to conferences or conventions in various locations around the country.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in related fields such as journalism, communications, English, etc.
  • Authorship of published work on the web

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Previous web content experience
  • On-page SEO experience
  • Knowledge of addiction recovery treatments, methods, and industry

Performance Objectives

The Digital Content Editor will be able to approach each new topic in a creative way to make the content engaging and to encourage potential clients to interact with the content.

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a writer for web content (2+ years experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of on-page SEO copywriting including keyword research, image use, and linking techniques
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to ask appropriate content related questions
  • Familiarity with google applications (i.e. gmail, Google docs, Google sheets)
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Ability to follow direction as instructed and follow through on tasks
  • The ability to change tasks quickly and respond to on-demand projects
  • Understanding addiction recovery is a plus, but not a requirement
  • Positive and proactive attitude is a must
